Our client, a large contractor are seeking a Junior Site Manager for an immediate start on their site in Limerick City, Limerick. The site consists of many on-going projects and the Junior Site Manager will be trained by the existing Site Manager. This is the perfect role for any newly qualified construction manager or experienced Labourer/Foreman to make a start in the Irish Construction Industry.
Duties & Responsibilities:
- Ensure work is carried out to the highest of quality standards and implement the company’s quality control procedures and project specific procedures.
- Follow direction as part of a team and attend meetings as required.
- Manage and lead a team of labourers and sub-contractors.
- Management of subcontractors/general workforce on site.
- Planning works in an efficient manner to ensure program targets are achieved.
- Liaise with client’s representatives/Design Team members as appropriate.
- Ordering and control of materials on site.
- Maintaining the site records and records of discussions/meetings with designers and subcontractors
- Taking photos of work completed. Uploading photos & Documents to Client Computer System.
- Picking up materials if needed, organising fencing.
- Maintaining Site Safety, ensuring safty standards are enforced regarding PPE.
The Ideal Candidate Will Have:
- A experience using a computer.
- A minimum of 6 months experience as a site manager or supervisor
- Experience working with a main contractor, subcontractor, surveying firm or similar preferred.
- Good understanding of Irish Health, Safety and Environmental regulation.
- Excellent communication skills.
- Working knowledge in Microsoft Office, Microsoft Project etc.
- Proactive and driven person with a strong desire to make progress backed by a strong level of construction knowledge.
