Maintenance Fitter - Shannon Co. Clare

The Role:

Ward Personnel require a of Maintenance Fitter for manufacturing/industrial in Shannon, Co Clare. Prospect of long-term ongoing work with Ward Personnel once initial projects are complete.

Key responsibilities

  • Repair of industrial production equipment such as Centreless Grinders, Surface Grinders, Lappers, Gearboxes, Bearings and Hydraulics.
  • Assist with the implementation of preventative maintenance programmes for all machines in assigned area.
  • Assist with the continuous monitoring of all machinery and equipment within the plant.
  • Ensure real time repair of machines and equipment to get them back up & running within optimum time frame.
  • Document all aspects of maintenance work carried out and keep management informed of potential issues.
  • Confirming that all safety features on equipment are maintained and operational.

Key requirements

  • Must have prior experience in Centreless Grinders, Surface Grinders, Lappers, Gearboxes, Bearings and Hydraulics.
  • Ideally must have significant experience working as a maintenance fitter within a manufacturing/industrial business, preferably within an engineering production environment.
  • Hydraulic and Pneumatic maintenance experience
  • IT literate and experienced in automation
  • Open to new ideas, work practices.
  • Experience of Lean Manufacturing processes would be beneficial but not necessary.
  • Good communication skills, enthusiastic, hardworking and energetic.
  • Able to deal with pressurised situations and remain calm and focused.
  • Flexibility to meet peak work demands as required
  • Basic electrical, but not essential

Hours: Monday – Friday 7am to 3pm but candidate should be flexible to working later shifts. (2-10pm)

Contract length: 6 weeks

Job Types: Full-time, Temporary

Salary: €23.19 per hour
