Quantity Surveyor with Building Experience

Location: Office based in Tallow, Co. Waterford, Ireland

Job Type: Full-time, Remote Work Available

Job Description: We are currently seeking a skilled Quantity Surveyor with building experience to join our client team. The Quantity Surveyor will be responsible for managing all aspects of cost estimation, budgeting, and financial management for construction projects.

Key Responsibilities:

• Prepare accurate cost estimates for construction projects based on architectural drawings and specifications.
• Manage project budgets and track expenses throughout the construction process.
• Conduct cost analysis and provide recommendations to optimize project costs.
• Collaborate with project managers and contractors to ensure projects are completed within budget and on schedule.
• Review and negotiate contracts with suppliers and subcontractors.
• Monitor project progress and prepare financial reports for stakeholders.

Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree in Quantity Surveying or related field.
• Proven experience as a Quantity Surveyor, preferably with building experience.
• Strong knowledge of construction methods, materials, and regulations.
• Proficiency in construction cost estimation software.
• Excellent communication and negotiation skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
