Project Manager – Utilities / Civil Engineering
Location: Cork based (travel across sites likely)

With a strong reputation for quality, safety, and reliability, they specialise in working within public-facing environments and tight programme constraints, consistently delivering high standards across complex projects.
The Role
They are now seeking an experienced Project Manager to oversee utility and civil engineering works, ensuring projects are delivered safely, on time, and within budget.
This role will involve managing multiple projects / crews, client coordination, and maintaining high safety and quality standards across all works.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage utility and civil projects from start to completion
- Oversee site teams, subcontractors, and resources
- Ensure projects are delivered:
- On time
- Within budget
- To required safety and quality standards
- Liaise with key clients (e.g. ESB, Irish Water, councils)
- Manage project programmes, reporting, and progress tracking
- Ensure compliance with HSEQ and regulatory requirements
- Review and approve RAMS, permits, and documentation
- Resolve on-site issues and manage stakeholder expectations
Ideal Candidate Profile
Core Experience
- Project Manager / Site Agent / Senior Engineer background
- Experience in:
- Utilities (water, power, telecoms) OR
- Civil engineering / infrastructure projects
- Strong understanding of:
- Street works / public realm projects
- Health & safety regulations
Strong Advantage
- Experience working with:
- ESB Networks, Irish Water, or similar frameworks
- Knowledge of:
- Traffic management
- Permits & local authority coordination
- Exposure to framework contracts or reactive works
