Our client is currently involved in a range of projects throughout Ireland running a variety of commercial and term contracts. They have an exciting opportunity for a Commercial Manager with NEC experience to work with their Operational and Business Development teams across Ireland.

Providing sound contractual advice to senior operational managers, you will review and advise on matters and agreements relating to pre-contract and post-contract, both upstream and downstream. You will provide general advice and assistance on contractual matters, including negotiating and advising on construction contracts, preparing CVRs and settling final accounts to our offices in Ireland. You will also be involved in the Budget, Forecasting and Financial processes.
Your responsibilities will extend to analysing and reporting on contractual and commercial risk associated with main contracts and subcontracts/supplier agreements and assisting with the prevention and resolution of commercial and legal issues.
What do I need?
To be successful in this role, you will ideally be educated to degree level in quantity surveying and hold a formal professional qualification such as SCSI/RICS.
You should have proven experience in a commercial management role with a M&E or main contractor, combined with a strong understanding of construction contracts,  NEC experience would be beneficial.
You should possess effective communication, presentation and negotiation skills and be flexible and pragmatic.
You will have the ability to identify and suggest innovation and effective business improvements.
You must be able to demonstrate the ability to work in an organised, accurate and methodical manner and have a natural ability to build effective working relationships, working well both individually and as part of a team.
Strong IT skills are vital.
A valid driver’s license would be essential for this role.
The ideal candidate will be based in Cork however flexible working conditions are considered.
