A long-established and reputable construction company with over 40 years of industry experience is seeking a Quantity Surveyor to join its expanding team. The company is known for delivering high-quality projects across the commercial, industrial, educational, healthcare, and general building sectors. In addition to general contracting, the company operates a specialist civil engineering division providing services to clients in the public and private sector.

Role Overview:
The successful candidate will be responsible for managing all aspects of cost planning and control across a variety of construction projects. This is a great opportunity to work on diverse and technically interesting projects while contributing to the financial success and operational efficiency of the business.

Key Responsibilities:

• Prepare and manage budgets, cost plans, and tender documentation
• Conduct cost analysis and value engineering
• Monitor project financial performance and prepare reports
• Manage procurement and assess subcontractor quotations
• Administer contracts and handle variations and claims
• Liaise with clients, consultants, and internal teams
• Support project delivery across multiple sectors and locations

Requirements:

• Degree in Quantity Surveying or related discipline
• Minimum 5 years’ experience in a similar role
• Strong knowledge of construction contracts and procurement
• Excellent analytical and communication skills
• Proficiency in cost management software (e.g., CostX, Buildsoft, Excel)
• Full driving licence and willingness to travel to project sites
