Overview:

A leading construction and quarrying group is seeking an experienced Health & Safety Manager to oversee and drive health and safety strategy across multiple business units and locations. This is a senior-level role responsible for ensuring full regulatory compliance, promoting a proactive safety culture, and supporting continuous improvement across all operational sites.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Ensure compliance with all relevant Health & Safety legislation and industry standards across all sites.
  • Develop, implement, and maintain company-wide H&S policies, procedures, and risk management frameworks.
  • Lead internal audits, site inspections, and incident investigations, ensuring timely corrective actions.
  • Champion a strong safety culture through training, engagement, and visible leadership.
  • Act as the main point of contact for regulatory bodies and external auditors.
  • Provide regular reports to senior leadership on compliance, risk trends, and cultural initiatives.
  • Support the maintenance and continuous improvement of ISO 45001 Health & Safety Management System accreditations.

Key Requirements:

  • Proven experience in a senior Health & Safety role, ideally within a multi-site or group environment.
  • Strong working knowledge of Irish H&S legislation and best practices.
  • Excellent leadership, communication, and stakeholder engagement skills.
  • Ability to influence and drive change across diverse teams and locations.
  • Relevant professional qualifications in Health & Safety (e.g., NEBOSH, IOSH, or equivalent).
