Quantity Surveyor

Location: Navan (4 days office) / Dublin (1 day site)

Type: Full-Time | Immediate Start | Contract

Our client is looking for an experienced and commercially driven Quantity Surveyor to manage the financial and contractual aspects of road maintenance and civil engineering projects. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in pricing, procurement, and subcontractor management within a framework environment.

Responsibilities

  • Manage all financial and contractual elements of civil projects
  • Prepare accurate cost estimates and lead tendering processes
  • Oversee procurement and ensure compliance with framework agreements
  • Monitor project costs and produce regular reports for senior management
  • Identify commercial risks and contribute to process improvements
  • Ensure full compliance with EHSQ regulations and legal obligations

Requirements

  • Proven min. 3 years experience in a QS or estimating role within civil engineering or road maintenance
  • Strong understanding of bituminous/surfacing works and materials
  • Familiarity with public sector procurement and framework contracts
  • Excellent commercial acumen and stakeholder management skills
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office
  • Experience on Irish or EU civil projects especially on roads, runways etc.
