About the Role

We are seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Finishing Foreperson to join our team on a high-profile residential development in East Cork. This is an exciting opportunity to work with a Tier 1 contractor known for delivering quality projects on time and to the highest standards.

The successful candidate will play a key role in overseeing the finishing stages of the build, ensuring that all works are completed to specification, on schedule, and with exceptional attention to detail.

Key Responsibilities

• Supervise and coordinate all finishing trades on site (e.g., carpentry, painting, tiling, flooring, joinery).
• Ensure high-quality workmanship and compliance with design specifications.
• Liaise with site management, subcontractors, and suppliers to ensure smooth workflow.
• Conduct regular inspections and snagging to maintain quality control.
• Manage timelines and ensure handover deadlines are met.
• Maintain health & safety standards and site cleanliness.
• Report progress and issues to the Site Manager and Project Manager.

Requirements

• Proven experience as a Finishing Foreperson on residential construction projects.
• Strong knowledge of finishing trades and techniques.
• Ability to read and interpret drawings and specifications.
• Excellent communication and leadership skills.
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality.
• Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines.
• Safe Pass and Manual Handling certificates (required).
• Trade background or relevant construction qualification (preferred).
