 Senior Project Manager – Aviation Infrastructure

Salary: Competitive (Benchmark €120,000–€140,000 DOE)

About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Senior Project Manager to lead a portfolio of high-profile infrastructure projects within a live airport environment. Acting as the Contracting Entity’s representative, you will oversee the full project lifecycle—from planning and design through to delivery and commissioning—ensuring safety, quality, budget, and schedule targets are met.

This is a strategic leadership role within a transformative aviation programme, offering the opportunity to shape the future of airport infrastructure in Ireland.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead and manage multiple concurrent projects aligned with corporate and programme objectives.
  • Develop and implement Project Execution Plans in line with NEC/FIDIC contract standards.
  • Oversee project performance across cost, schedule, risk, and quality metrics.
  • Manage and mentor a team of Project Managers and technical consultants.
  • Coordinate design reviews, stakeholder communications, and change control processes.
  • Maintain project risk registers and ensure compliance with safety and regulatory standards.
  • Act as the Project Manager under NEC contracts, managing compensation events and programme submissions.

Requirements

Experience:

  • 15+ years in construction/infrastructure, ideally with aviation or complex public-sector projects.
  • Proven experience in live airport environments and client-side project delivery.
  • Strong understanding of NEC and/or FIDIC contracts.

Skills:

  • Leadership of multidisciplinary teams across large-scale programmes.
  • Excellent stakeholder engagement and communication skills.
  • Proficiency in Oracle Primavera P6 and project governance tools.
  • Strong analytical, reporting, and decision-making capabilities.

Qualifications:

  • Degree in Engineering, Project Management, or related discipline.
  • PRINCE2 or equivalent certification.
  • Membership of RICS, CIOB, APM, or similar professional body.
