Summary

We are seeking a motivated and reliable Junior Site Technician to join our Clients team on a long-term basis. The successful candidate will work with our timber frame housing development projects, travelling between sites to carry out inspections, check levels and alignment of panels, and ensure quality standards are consistently met.

Junior Site Technician

Location: Various sites (Cork – travel required)
Employment Type: Full-time, Long-term position
Reports To: Contracts Manager

Overview:

We are seeking a motivated and reliable Junior Site Technician to join our Clients team on a long-term basis. The successful candidate will work with our timber frame housing development projects, travelling between sites to carry out inspections, check levels and alignment of panels, and ensure quality standards are consistently met.

A company vehicle will be provided for site travel.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Travel to active construction sites across the region to carry out checks and inspections.
  • Verify levels, alignment, and correct installation of timber frame panels.
  • Record and report on progress, quality, and any issues encountered.
  • Liaise with site managers and erection teams to ensure accurate setup and compliance with drawings and specifications.
  • Use computer systems to complete inspection reports, upload data, and communicate with the main office.
  • Maintain a high standard of health and safety awareness on all sites.

Requirements:

  • Previous experience in construction or timber frame installation (preferred).
  • Full, clean driving licence.
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy in measurements.
  • Comfortable travelling between multiple sites.
  • Computer literate – able to use email, digital forms, and reporting tools.
  • Excellent communication and organisation skills.
  • Ability to work independently and manage time effectively.
