Commercial Manager – Civils

About the Role

Due to continued growth, we are seeking an experienced Commercial Manager to lead the commercial function on civil engineering projects in Dublin. This is a senior leadership role with significant influence on project delivery and profitability.

Key Responsibilities

  • Prepare monthly, interim, and final valuations, applications for payment, and cost reconciliations for contracts, sub-contractors, and suppliers.
  • Provide accurate cash flow forecasts and contract position reports.
  • Collaborate with the Procurement Manager to place sub-contracts and manage procurement strategy.
  • Review and interpret contract documents, highlighting anomalies and risks.
  • Negotiate and agree valuations and final accounts with client representatives.
  • Record and manage contractual delays and variations.
  • Lead, mentor, and develop a team of surveyors at various levels.

Requirements

  • 10+ years’ experience in a commercial role, ideally with a main contractor.
  • Strong background in civil engineering projects (roads, utilities, infrastructure, Data Centres etc).
  • Chartered or working towards chartership with the Society of Chartered Surveyors Ireland (SCSI).
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and IT skills.
