Senior Project Manager / Contracts Manager

About the Company

Our client is a respected Tier 2 contractor with a strong footprint across Munster and beyond. Known for delivering high-quality construction projects in both the public and private sectors, they are expanding their team to support a growing pipeline of work in healthcare, education, commercial and residential.

Role Overview

This is a senior leadership role responsible for overseeing the delivery of multiple construction projects from pre-construction through to completion. You will manage contracts, lead project teams, and ensure that all works are delivered safely, on time, and within budget—while maintaining strong relationships with clients, consultants, and stakeholders.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead the planning and execution of public and private sector construction projects ranging from €5M to €30M+.
  • Manage contracts, budgets, schedules, and resources across multiple sites.
  • Ensure compliance with statutory regulations, health & safety standards, and quality benchmarks.
  • Oversee procurement and performance of subcontractors and suppliers.
  • Act as the primary point of contact for clients, design teams, and public bodies.
  • Provide strategic input into project delivery, risk management, and commercial performance.
  • Mentor and support site managers, engineers, and junior PMs.

Requirements

  • Degree-qualified in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, Quantity Surveying, or a related discipline.
  • 8+ years’ experience in project or contracts management within the Irish construction industry.
  • Proven experience delivering both public sector (e.g., schools, hospitals, civic buildings) and private sector (e.g., commercial, residential, industrial) projects.
  • Strong knowledge of Irish building regulations and contract forms (Public Works, RIAI, NEC).
  • Excellent leadership, communication, and stakeholder management skills.
  • Proficiency in project management tools (e.g., MS Project, Procore, Buildsoft).
