Digital Construction Coordinator – BIM – Dublin

Our client is a long-established, leading Irish main contractor delivering large-scale, technically complex projects across a range of sectors, including education. The Role

Working from site and reporting to the BIM Manager/Coordinator, you’ll support digital construction delivery on school projects in Stepaside and Rathcoole. This Digital Construction Coordinator role combines BIM modelling and coordination with hands-on laser scanning, 4D simulation and site surveys, making it a great opportunity to broaden your digital construction skills on live projects.

Key Responsibilities

  • Supporting BIM project setup and ongoing delivery on school projects
  • Coordinating with the BIM team, design team, external clients and internal departments
  • Maintaining model registers and following project BIM protocols
  • Assisting with BIM authoring tools, including Revit, Civil 3D and Navisworks
  • Federating, coordinating and clash-detecting models in Navisworks and producing reports
  • Carrying out site surveys using laser scanning equipment
  • Processing and reviewing scan data and sharing it with the wider team
  • Helping to improve scanning processes and building expertise in scan-processing tools
  • Producing 4D simulations using Navisworks/Synchro, aligned with project programmes
  • Supporting BIM reporting and meeting minutes as required
  • Working to the BEP and client BIM requirements to ensure deliverables align
  • Contributing to ISO 19650 deliverables, including BEPs, MPDTs, MIDPs and COBie outputs
  • Managing information through CDEs and data management tools such as Viewpoint and Vault

Requirements

  • Third-level qualification in a construction, engineering or BIM-related discipline
  • Hands-on Revit experience is essential
  • Good knowledge of construction disciplines
  • An understanding of BIM Level 2 / ISO 19650 information management
  • Experience with Navisworks, Civil 3D, Synchro or laser scanning is advantageous
  • Strong organisational and time management skills, with the ability to juggle multiple priorities
  • Professional, proactive and comfortable working under pressure in a site environment
