Our client, a manufacturer of timber frame technology based near Ballincollig, Co. Cork, requires a Factory Production Supervisor to join their team.

This is an exciting role for the right candidate to train in a fast-paced production environment.

Job Description and Responsibilities:

• Day to day management of the production functions and administration (incl. stock ordering)
• Working closely with the CEO to ensure all KPI’s and department targets are achieved
• Coordinating the allocation of human resources to ensure that the factory is running effectively, that personnel have adequate training, and that health and safety rules are being adhered to
• Identifying bottlenecks within the process, reporting and conducting problem solving with relevant staff members
• This is “hands on” Supervisor role and manual handling will be involved to ensure required manufacturing output achieved i.e. assembling truss panels (lay out timbers, fit metal plates, press plates) and fitting of insulation and membranes to assembled panels
• Driving the company’s CombiLift to undertake daily operations and to arrange stock so factory operates in an efficient manner
• Developing and implementing quality systems and lean continuous improvement projects
• Practice workplace safety at all times
• Preparation of reports for the CEO as required
• Any and all other duties reasonably required and appropriate to the role

Requirements:

• Knowledge of / experience working with timber products is desirable
• Ability to troubleshoot issues with machinery
• Be flexible in relation to time input
• A valid fork truck driving licence is favourable
• Good understanding of spoken English

A strong remuneration package is available for the successful candidate dependent on experience.
