Job Summary

They are seeking a Junior Construction Project Manager to join their team on a permanent, full-time basis.

Reporting directly to the Contracts Manager, you will supervise the operational aspects of construction projects, focusing on efficient cost management and maximizing profitability.

The Junior Project Manager will be responsible for managing one large project or multiple sites, ensuring compliance with company processes and procedures. This role is critical in delivering projects on time, within budget, and to the highest standards, while adhering to Health & Safety, Environmental, and Quality standards.

For large or complex projects, you may work as part of a broader team; however, in most cases, you will take full responsibility for overseeing and successfully delivering multiple sites.

Key Responsibilities

  • Liaise with clients, subcontractors, senior engineers, foremen, and quantity surveyors.
  • Manage subcontractors, engineering, and operational staff on site.
  • Plan weekly work programmes and produce progress reports.
  • Oversee site teams to ensure key milestones are met.
  • Manage the project design process in collaboration with the commercial team.
  • Work closely with the Contracts Manager to align site programmes with budget and commercial objectives.
  • Promote and reinforce a strong Health & Safety culture, striving for an accident-free site.
  • Attend and chair weekly management meetings.
  • Manage the complete project lifecycle—from initial stages through to handover.

Education & Experience

  • Degree or Diploma in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, or a related field.
  • Minimum 3+ years’ experience in a similar role within construction or civil engineering.
  • Strong understanding of the demands of a dynamic project environment.
  • Full, clean driver’s licence.
