Junior Construction Site Manager

Our client, a well established building contractor, requires a Junior Site Manager to join their team on a permanent basis to work on projects in the greater Dublin/Leinster area.

The successful candidate will report to the senior site management team, and will work collaboratively with them to drive standards. You will initially be involved in the management of multiple small value civils and room fitouts and will ensure that a consistently high standard of work is completed on time to the client’s satisfaction.

Responsibilities:

  • Aid in the management of the programming of works while monitoring building progress, managing specified and alternative product/equipment submittals, ensuring compliance with regulations, and issuing weekly progress reports.
  • Aid in managing the co-ordination of installation works.
  • Assisting other members of the management team where necessary.
  • Liaising with operations staff, suppliers, clients, and project teams on a daily basis and as per the project’s requirements.
  • Assist with weekly progress reports
  • Liaise with the clients, main contractors, and other trades people as and when required.
  • Ensure that you attend all project related and management meetings.
  • Attend regular progress meetings with both the design team and the sub-contractors and effectively control the use of both labour and materials.
  • Ensure that the minutes of these meetings are noted and recorded.
  • Help to promote a culture of excellent customer service and establishing exceptional working relationships with both your colleagues and the client.
  • Any other duties as deemed necessary for the efficiency of the business.

Qualifications and Skills:

  • Construction related qualification to higher diploma/degree level in civil or structural engineering, architecture, quantity surveying, construction management or project management.
  • Preferably has 2 + years of post grad experience in the industry.
  • Proficient in the use of Microsoft Office, MS Project, etc.
  • Ability to help drive projects while working under pressure and within strict deadlines.
  • Motivated self-starter, who can work both independently or as part of a team.
  • Clean, full driving licence
