Junior Quantity Surveyor

Location: Cork City

An established construction contractor is seeking a Junior Quantity Surveyor to join its commercial team based in Cork city

This is an excellent opportunity for a Quantity Surveying graduate with approximately 1 year’s post-graduate experience who is looking to develop their career within a busy and supportive construction environment. The successful candidate will work closely with experienced commercial professionals and gain exposure to all aspects of Quantity Surveying across a variety of projects.

Key Responsibilities

• Assist with project cost control and budget management.
• Support procurement activities, including subcontractor and supplier packages.
• Assist in the preparation of valuations and final accounts.
• Monitor project costs and prepare cost reports.
• Manage and track variations throughout the project lifecycle.
• Review subcontractor accounts and payment applications.
• Maintain accurate commercial records and documentation.
• Liaise with project managers, site teams, subcontractors, and suppliers.

Requirements

• Degree in Quantity Surveying, Construction Economics, or a related discipline.
• Approximately 1 year’s post-graduate experience in a Quantity Surveying position.
• Strong numerical, commercial, and analytical skills.
• Excellent organisational and communication abilities.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office applications.
• Ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
• Full driving licence preferred.
