Recruitment Resourcer – Labour & Trades
Ward Personnel | Blackrock, Cork | Full-time, Permanent | €31,000 – €33,000 per year
About Ward Personnel
Ward Personnel is one of Ireland’s leading specialist construction recruitment agencies. Founded in 2010, we supply general operatives, tradespeople, technical and management staff to construction, mechanical and electrical, and manufacturing clients across Ireland and Europe.
Our group headquarters is in Blackrock, Cork, and we also have offices in Dublin, Poland, Denmark and Germany. Our team of around fifty people supports a weekly workforce of more than 500 people on client sites.
This is an internal role within our own Cork team — not a placement with a client.
The Role
We’re looking for a Recruitment Resourcer to join our Labour & Trades division in Blackrock. You’ll work alongside our Account Managers, taking ownership of the candidate side of the desk: finding, registering and onboarding the general operatives and tradespeople our clients need on site.
This is a high-volume, fast-moving role. We have live vacancies across the whole country, and a good number of them are genuinely hard to fill. Your job is to keep a strong pipeline of registered, compliant, work-ready candidates so our Account Managers can place quickly when a client calls.
You don’t need recruitment experience. If you’re organised, comfortable on the phone and happy working to targets, we’ll teach you the rest.
What You’ll Be Doing
- Sourcing candidates through job boards, our CRM database, social media, referrals and direct advertising
- Carrying out registration calls with general operatives and tradespeople — understanding their experience, tickets, availability and what they’re looking for
- Completing full registrations: right-to-work checks, Safe Pass, CSCS and manual handling certification, references and all compliance documentation
- Advertising live vacancies and managing the response
- Building and maintaining candidate pipelines for our hardest-to-fill trades
- Keeping candidate records accurate and up to date on our CRM
- Staying in regular contact with your candidate pool so we know who’s available and when
- Supporting Account Managers with shortlisting, submissions and interview arrangements
- Assisting with the onboarding and first-day arrangements for workers starting on site
What We’re Looking For
Essential
- Strong communication skills and genuine confidence on the phone — you’ll be making a lot of calls
- Excellent organisation and attention to detail; compliance paperwork has to be right
- Comfortable managing a busy workload and working to weekly activity targets
- A resilient, self-motivated approach — this is a volume role and not every call lands
- Solid IT skills (Microsoft Office, CRM systems, job boards)
- Fluent English, written and spoken
Desirable
- Previous experience in recruitment, resourcing, sales, customer service or a high-volume administration role
- Knowledge of the construction sector or construction trades
- Familiarity with construction compliance requirements (Safe Pass, CSCS tickets, Manual Handling etc.)
- A second language, particularly Polish or Romanian would be useful given the international workforce we support
What We Offer
- €31,000 – €33,000 starting base salary.
- Full training and a clear development path into an Account Manager or Recruitment Consultant role
- A well-established, growing Irish business with fifteen years in the market and active expansion across Europe
- A busy, supportive Cork team with a strong client base and plenty of live roles to work on
- Company pension
- Modern group headquarters in Blackrock with on-site parking
- 22 days annual leave plus public holidays
- Monday to Friday, standard office hours
