Location: Midleton
Project: Residential Development – 270 Units (4-Year Programme)
Employment Type: Full-Time, Permanent

Role Overview

As Site Engineer, you will play a pivotal role in the successful delivery of a large-scale residential project comprising 270 houses over a 4-year period. You will be responsible for setting out, quality control, and ensuring compliance with design specifications and health & safety standards. This is a hands-on role requiring strong technical skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work collaboratively with site management and subcontractors.

Key Responsibilities

  • Setting Out & Surveying:
    • Accurately set out for foundations, drainage, roads, and structural elements.
    • Maintain precise records of all measurements and levels.
  • Quality Assurance:
    • Ensure works are carried out in accordance with drawings, specifications, and building regulations.
    • Conduct inspections and maintain QA documentation.
  • Coordination & Communication:
    • Liaise with Site Manager, Project Manager, and subcontractors to ensure smooth workflow.
    • Resolve technical issues promptly and effectively.
  • Health & Safety Compliance:
    • Promote and enforce site safety standards.
    • Assist in risk assessments and method statements.
  • Progress Reporting:
    • Provide regular updates on progress, issues, and solutions to the project team.

Requirements

  • Degree in Civil Engineering or related discipline.
  • Minimum 3- 4 years’ experience in residential or commercial construction.
  • Proficient in setting out using GPS, Total Station.
  • Strong knowledge of building regulations and construction methodologies.
  • Excellent communication and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to work effectively under pressure and meet deadlines.
