Senior Estimator

We are seeking ambitious and detail‑driven Senior Estimators to join a leading construction organisation in Dublin. This is a unique opportunity to play a key role in delivering some of Ireland’s most high‑profile projects, while advancing your career.

As Senior Estimator, you will be central to the pre‑construction process, producing accurate and commercially sound cost estimates that shape successful tender submissions. You’ll collaborate with cross‑functional teams, suppliers, and clients to ensure projects are competitive, innovative, and delivered to the highest standards.

Key Responsibilities

  • Tender leadership: Review documentation, coordinate with teams, and ensure alignment across all stakeholders.
  • Supplier & subcontractor management: Prepare enquiries, assess quotations, and negotiate competitive pricing.
  • Risk & opportunity analysis: Identify gaps, develop risk schedules, and propose value engineering solutions.
  • Cost preparation: Deliver detailed breakdowns and nett costings for settlement meetings.
  • Documentation: Complete tender submissions including Bills of Quantities, commercial schedules, and supporting notes.
  • Collaboration: Work closely with the Estimating Manager and project teams to resolve queries and drive efficiency.

Skills & Experience

  • Degree in Engineering, Quantity Surveying, or Construction Technology
  • Minimum of 6 years’ experience in Estimating or Quantity Surveying, ideally with a main contractor
  • Strong analytical and numerical skills with exceptional attention to detail
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office; experience with estimating software (CostX, Cubit, Buildsoft, ConQuest) desirable
  • Knowledge of modern construction methods, materials, and cost structures
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines
