Senior Site Engineer – Cork

We are seeking an experienced Senior Site Engineer to join our growing team on civil engineering projects across Cork. This is an excellent opportunity for an engineer who enjoys taking ownership of site activities, delivering high‑quality work, and playing a key role in project success from early stages through to completion.

As Senior Site Engineer, you will support the Site Manager and Project Manager in planning, coordination, technical delivery, and quality control, ensuring all works are carried out safely and efficiently.

What You’ll Do

· Set out and survey works including pipelines, RC structures, utilities, earthworks, and roadworks

· Coordinate subcontractors and ensure works are delivered safely, correctly, and on programme

· Review drawings and specifications, identify discrepancies, and raise RFIs or technical queries

· Assist with temporary works by reviewing designs and ensuring correct implementation on site

· Prepare and update two‑week lookahead programmes to support planning and sequencing

· Carry out quality checks, maintain ITPs, test records, and as‑built information

· Prepare RAMS and support safety compliance across all site operations

· Liaise with clients, designers, and project stakeholders, attending meetings as required

· Maintain accurate site records, including daily diaries, measurements, and progress updates

· Support commercial teams by providing measurements, identifying variations, and tracking progress

What You’ll Need

· Degree in Civil Engineering or Construction Management

· 5+ years’ experience in a similar engineering role

· Strong setting‑out and surveying skills

· Experience with pipelines, reinforced concrete, and temporary works (advantage)

· Excellent IT skills including AutoCAD, MS Office, and MS Project

· Strong communication, organisation, and problem‑solving abilities

· Safe Pass, SLG, and relevant site training
