Senior Engineer – High‑Density Residential Projects (Dublin Region)

Overview

An experienced Senior Engineer is required to support the delivery of large‑scale, high‑density residential projects involving precast concrete structures. This role involves technical leadership, design coordination, setting‑out oversight, and quality management throughout the installation of precast components on multi‑storey schemes.

Key Responsibilities

Technical & Engineering Leadership

  • Lead engineering functions for precast concrete installation on residential projects.
  • Manage setting-out for walls, stairs, cores, slabs, balconies, and other structural elements.
  • Review design drawings, technical submittals, and manufacturing details.
  • Coordinate engineering queries across design, production, and site teams.

Quality Assurance & Technical Compliance

  • Implement and maintain project QA/QC systems.
  • Ensure precast elements are installed within tolerance and meet design specifications.
  • Conduct inspections, as-built surveys, and sign-off documentation.
  • Resolve NCRs and provide technical solutions to on‑site issues.

Coordination & Leadership

  • Mentor and oversee Site Engineers.
  • Collaborate closely with the Project Manager, Foreperson, and main contractor.
  • Attend coordination and design meetings as required.

Health & Safety

  • Ensure engineering activities comply with health & safety legislation.
  • Support RAMS development and review lift plans where necessary.

Requirements

  • Degree in Civil Engineering or related discipline.
  • 5+ years’ experience as a Site/Senior Engineer on structural or precast projects.
  • Strong knowledge of multi‑storey/high‑density construction.
  • Proficiency with Total Station, GPS, AutoCAD, and QA processes.
  • Strong communication, coordination, and leadership skills.
