David was delighted to join Mary Gallagher from Radio Kerry to discuss the shortage of construction workers in Ireland and what the industry is doing to address it.
It was a very useful chat and some of the topics discussed included the background and scale of the shortages, the part being played by foreign workers to bridge the current gap between demand and supply, the encouraging increase in trade apprenticeships, and the need to encourage and incentivise more women to join the industry at all levels.
David also updated Mary on the expansion of Ward Personnel’s Management and Technical Division which is focused on the recruitment of White-Collar construction staff.
