Ward Personnel supporting Cork Simon Annual Awards event

Rory Dean, Manager of the Ward Personnel Cork Labour and Trades team, was delighted to attend the recent Cork Simon Community Annual Awards ceremony held at Cork City Hall.

This ceremony presented an opportunity to celebrate the achievements of those who had completed educational courses over the past year, and also Simon clients who had successfully integrated back into the workforce, including some in construction roles.

The event also focused on the collective effort of supporting clients of Simon with their efforts to secure employment across a range of industries . Ward Personnel have successfully worked with candidates in the past from the Simon community in order to secure suitable work in the construction industry and we look forward to continuing those efforts in the future.

Besides the presentation of the awards, those in attendance were treated to a great performance from the Community’s very own original song ‘Dreamer’s Boomers’ as well as the premiere of an excellent short film created by Simon members titled ‘The Journey of the Key’. Great to see the creativity and talent in creating and delivering these performances.

Overall, the awards were a fantastic recognition of hard work and enthusiasm and everyone at Ward Personnel would like to extend our thanks to all those involved with the Cork Simon Community.

As part of our overall annual CSR program, we are also proud to support Cork Simon every year as one of our year end charity donations and we look forward to doing so again this Christmas.
