Mr Damien English, Minister of State at the Department of Enterprise, Trade and Employment has signed the new Sectoral Employment Order (Construction Section) in 2021. This new SEO provides for increases in rates of pay and pension contributions for craftworkers, general operatives and apprentices working in the construction industry. Ward Personnel welcome the news and will be carrying out the Sectoral Employment Order in its entirety. The Government have announced the following increases to the SEO pay rates for the Construction sector, effective from the start of next February.
- An increase in hourly rates of pay of 2.8% effective from 1st February 2022
- An increase in hourly rates of pay of 2.8% effective from 1st February 2023
- An increase in pension contributions of 2% effective from 1st February 2022
- An increase in pension contributions of 2% effective from 1st February 2023
